Tractor Requirement
RM180: CAB; 65 PTO horsepower, 7,715 lbs shipping weight, 540 rpm PTO output shaft.It is the purpose of this specification to describe an 18’, rear-mounted, hydraulically powered boom mower for cutting grass and brush on roadsides and other areas that are not accessible to conventional mowing equipment.
BASIC FEATURES
? 18’1” minimum horizontal reach.
? 22’4” minimum vertical reach.
? TBD minimum below grade reach.
? Two section articulated boom.
? 48” rotary cutting head (specifications listed separately).
METHOD OF ATTACHMENT:
The mainframe shall mount to the rear of the tractor utilizing a standard Category II three-point hitch.
BOOM FEATURES & CAPABILITIES:
Boom Movement:
Standard boom functions shall include vertical lift, head tilt and dipper reach.
A lift float kit featuring a nitrogen accumulator shall be included as standard equipment.
All boom and/or cylinder pivot points shall be greaseable.
Boom Cutting Heads:
The manufacturer shall offer the following mowing heads for cutting grass and light brush up to 2” in diameter.
• 48” Standard Duty Flail – Direct Drive- Super-Cut Shaft- Choice of F91- Y-Knives, Single Edge Cast, Forged Boot Flails
• 48” Medium Duty Flail- Direct Drive- Multi-Cut Shaft- Choice of F10- Y-Knives, Single Edge Cast, Forged Boot Flails
• 48” Light Duty Rotary- Single-Leaf Bar With Pan- Fan-Type Grass Blades – Direct Drive: 620 lbs. - Will Include Buzzer Kit to alert operator of boom arm contact with forward stop.
• 60” Medium Duty Rotary- Direct Drive- 3-Leaf Stacked Blade Bar or Single Disc Carrier, 2- Straight Blades- Direct Drive (Requires larger tractor than minimum specs call out for) ( Cuts Grass and Light Brush Material up to 4” Diameter) Will Include Buzzer Kit to alert operator of boom arm contact with forward stop.
Cutter head operation shall be controlled by an electrical switch which engages the cutter valve on the mower frame.
